Slow cooked pork ribs is one of my favorite winter meal. Who said you can’t eat pork ribs in the summer… well, autumn actually.
Enjoy this super easy recipe and let me know how it worked for you.
Ingredients:
1 kg. (35 oz) pork ribs
1 tablespoon cumin
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon chili powder
1 tablespoon brown sugar
Salt and Pepper
Preheat your oven to 200 C (400 F). Line a baking pan with aluminum foil.
Many ribs have a tough membrane on the back side. Remove the membrane using a knife and paper towel.
Mix together the dry ingredients in a small bowl. Rub evenly onto all sides of the ribs.
Place the ribs in you pan, cover in aluminum foil and bake for 2 hours, as you turn the ribs over if needed.
For the sauce:
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 cloves garlic, minced very fine
1 onion, minced very fine
1 cup ketchup
2 tablespoons mustard
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon chili sauce
50 grams brown sugar
Salt and Pepper
Heat the oil in a heavy saucepan. Add garlic and onions and sauté until golden brown. Add the remaining ingredients and cook on medium-low stirring frequently until thickens.
Remove the ribs from the oven, and cover with the sauce on all sides.
Place back in the oven for 15 minutes.
After that, they are ready to be served. You can serve them with roasted carrots, potatoes or other vegetables. Check out the recipe here!
